Dr. Isabella Anderson-Wagner

Principal Investigator

Isabella graduated from Radboud University Medical Center in 2017. Since 2021 she is an Assistant Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Vienna. Her goal is to improve our understanding of neural plasticity and memory. She is committed to providing high-quality mentorship in an open and inclusive research environment. Outside of work she likes hiking, practicing yoga, painting, going to concerts, and playing the drums.

Ioanna graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021 as a psychologist and is currently pursuing a MSc. in Neurosciences from University of Bremen. Her aim to improve the social and affective well-being of patients with dementia motivates her interest in both the physiological and behavioural aspects of neurodegeneration. Work-aside, she enjoys making music, watching anime, and cooking for others.

My name is Bhornsawan Jannu, a fourth year undergraduate student from Prince of Songkhla University in Thailand. I'm interested in cognition and memory function related to diet, and I would like to discover more about microbiota-gut-brain axis. In my free time, I love watching TV-series and knitting.

 

ELIAS LEMMEL

Elias attained a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna in 2018. Currently he is finishing his master’s degree in Cognitive Science with the focus on the microbiota-gut-brain axis. The interplay between world, body and mind excites him. In his free time he leads 16-21 y.o. scouts, enjoys doing arts and crafts and doing sports.

 

Zoha Panezai

Research Intern

Zoha is in her third year of BSc. Hons. Bioscience at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Having previously participated in research into gut microbiome response to novel sweeteners, she is joining on-going projects in neuroscience and microbiology. She is the debates co-ordinator for the University of Limerick Student Sustainability Team and enjoys studying music and astronomy.

Valentina received her BSc. in Psychology from the University of Vienna in 2022 and is now studying for a Master's degree in Psychology. She is particularly interested in the functioning of the hippocampus and spatial navigation, everything dementia- and virtual reality-related. In her free time she likes to play the piano, play video games and enjoys the arts and culture in Vienna.
